       On May 7th Quala-Die had its first surveillance audit performed by Larry Tweedt from BVQI. The audit covered topics pertaining to our Quality System and showed that Quala-Die, Inc. has made a commitment to continually improve. Here are some excerpts from the Audit Report;

"Surveillance Audit 1 was conducted at Quala-Die, Inc. on May 7, 2003. The scope of the audit, Introductions, Roles, Responsibilities, Report timing, Guides, Objectives, Non-conformances, Schedules, and the Appeals process were described."

"The work that has gone into the maintenance and improvement of this quality system was very obvious during the audit.  Everyone can be proud of the job that has been done on the quality management system.  The quality system meets the requirements of the ISO 9001:2000 Standard and will be able to meet the defined quality goals and objectives. The internal audit process has been a very effective aid in the development of the quality system.  It is vital that the internal audit process continues to effectively look at all of the quality system.  Although the system is immature with respect to the new standard, the organization has been quite effective and enthusiastic about the maintenance, establishment and improvement to the system."

"No (0) nonconformances were raised during the audit.  Since no nonconformances were raised during the audit, I will be recommending the continuation of the certification of Quala Die, Inc. to the ISO 9001:2000 Standard."

"Thanks to all at Quala Die for the cooperation during the audit. BVQI is pleased to be your ISO Registrar."
