Schatz founded Quala-Die in 1978. Work began as a two man operation out of his
basement with one surface grinder and determination. Quickly growing out of this
location, operations were moved to a facility south of St Marys on Rt.
255. This move allowed for greater growth and more employees.

economy of the 1980's grew so did

and in November of 1992
